Joseph Allen to lead efforts to bring more aftermarket options to customers

Everett, Washington (January 19, 2026) – Aviation Technical Services (ATS) today announced that U.S. Army veteran, Joseph Allen, will lead its Alternative Products business. The move provides a dedicated leader to champion ATS’s Parts Manufacturing Approval (PMA) Portfolio focusing not only on its design and development but also related manufacturing and distribution, ensuring availability and competitive pricing to customers. He will also oversee Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) programs, such CargoTek® Cargo Bay Protection Solutions and Crew Rest Modules. These channels have enjoyed recent growth in the aviation supply chain sector of the commercial aftermarket with Joe’s appointment aligned to support this and future growth.

“We are thrilled to have found a leader like Joe who has the talent, passion, and acumen to jump in and lead an important business for ATS,” stated Dennis Santare, SVP of Component & Engineering Solutions. “During the past six months, Joe has been immersed in the fundamentals and strategies behind our PMA and STC programs and their integration within our Airframe MRO and supply chain business units, leveraging the wealth of experience ATS has to offer in this area. I look forward to him being part of the exceptional customer experience ATS will collectively deliver.”

Joe joined ATS in July 2025 following his service as a U.S. Army Captain. He served as the commanding officer of a One Station Unit Training Troop, providing leadership and oversight for the development of hundreds of new soldiers. He also spent time operationally, managing soldiers and assets as a platoon leader and executive officer. Joe is a graduate of the United States Military Academy, where he earned a degree in systems engineering. During his time in service, Joe graduated from the Army’s Ranger and Air Assault Schools. He also recently earned a master’s degree in business from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University in May 2025.
