Everett, Washington (December 16, 2020) ― ATS (Aviation Technical Services) today announced it is taking delivery of an Airbus A321, complete with IAE V2500 engines, at its heavy maintenance and modification facility in Kansas City, Missouri. ATS, an award-winning provider of airframe MRO and component support services, will leverage the experience of its Ranger Asset Management division to oversee the related teardown activities.

“Our most recent acquisition of an Airbus A321 is a continuation of our long-term strategy to use our capabilities across heavy maintenance, component repair, and engineering solutions to support our customers’ operational needs,” stated Brian Olsen, ATS President of Component and Engineering Solutions. “We are confident that the aviation industry will rebound, and with this investment, we are positioning to be ready for our customers when it does.”

Following on the heels of a successful Boeing 767 teardown, the ATS Ranger team will place targeted A321 and V2500 removal parts with ATS internal component repair shops in the Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), TX and Everett, WA areas to ensure readiness for customer use when needed.  ATS will utilize its Ranger Air DFW location to manage the removals, including related component sales, inventory management, distribution and AOG activity.
