ATS Announces New General Manager of Dallas-Fort Worth Businesses

Aviation Technical Services (ATS) today announced that Kevin Murphy joined the company on April 3, 2017 as Regional General Manager, Dallas Fort-Worth (DFW). In this new position, Kevin will provide leadership and have responsibility for all of ATS’ DFW businesses. This includes the recently integrated Texas Air Composites business (TAC), which now operates under the ATS Components brand, and the TPS Aerospace businesses of Texas Pneumatics Systems, Turbine Fuel Systems, and Aviation Industry Repair.

With over 20 years of aviation experience in the engine, accessory, and component sectors, Kevin brings a valuable perspective to ATS. As a longtime resident of the DFW area, Kevin comes to ATS from Triumph Accessory Services – Grand Prairie, where he served as President. Prior to that appointment, Kevin was an operations manager at GE Accessory Services and also a Six Sigma Blackbelt at GE Aircraft Engines.

“Due to the recent acquisitions of TAC and TPS, it became clear that we needed a dedicated leader in DFW to manage and build upon ATS’ expanded capabilities in the Components business. We created the DFW General Manager role and are pleased that Kevin Murphy has joined our management team to advance our leadership in the Components category,” said Paul Dolan, ATS Chief Operating Officer. “We are investing in our infrastructure and committing resources to our DFW Components division in order to respond to the needs and desires of our growing customer base.”

ATS operates one of the most comprehensive component repair shops in the industry, and the expanded ATS Components organization benefits customers with increased component repair capabilities on a wide range of aircraft models with extensive machine shop capabilities. The combined businesses meet all OEM requirements for servicing highly specialized accessories, structures, complex composites, flight control surfaces, fuel systems, pneumatics and electrical components.

Kevin has a MBA from Fordham University and both a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from The University of Illinois
